A Little About Me and How fairy Elisryn & elf Wispelkin Came to Life

Hi there! I’m Irina, and I’m definitely not a professional author — just someone who likes to scribble down words when the mood strikes. I started writing random stories on Facebook about emotions, thoughts, and life. I would often share little musings featuring characters like a Fairy and an Elf having whimsical conversations.

That’s how fairy Elysrin and the elf Wispelkin came to life — two characters who would have deep (and often ridiculous) conversations about all sorts of things. Then, one day, my friend Valics Lehel, who’s also the illustrator of my book (yes, he’s got many talents), read a few of my random musings and thought, ‘Hey, why not turn these into something for kids?’ He asked if I’d like to write some Christmas tales for his website, in the same style I’d used before. And so, Gingerbread and Stardust came to life, or, in Romanian, Turtă dulce și pulbere de stele.

In this story, Elysrin the Fairy and Wispelkin the Elf share a beautiful lesson about Christmas. It all starts with gingerbread, a star, and a wish for something magical, but through their journey, they discover that true happiness and magic come from sharing joy and love with others. Elysrin teaches Wispelkin that while it’s fun to dream big, it’s even more rewarding to wish from the heart. Together, they find that the true light of Christmas shines brightest when it brings warmth and happiness to those around us.

It’s a magical little adventure filled with joy, a little bit of chaos, and lots of heart. I hope it makes you smile and brings a bit of festive cheer to your day!

What Do I Offer to My Readers? Fairy tales!

I write stories not just to entertain, but to connect. Gingerbread and Stardust is only the beginning. This story is part of a growing collection that explores the beauty of simple things, the magic in everyday moments, and the warmth that comes from kindness and connection. Through the adventures of Fairy Elysrin and Elf Wispelkin, readers can find themselves reflecting on emotions, dreams, and the little things that make life meaningful.

My stories dive into the human experience, exploring how we connect with our own feelings and with others around us. I’m fascinated by how emotions shape our world and how understanding them can help us become better versions of ourselves. These stories are not just for children — they’re for anyone who’s ever wondered about the deeper meaning behind the holidays, friendship, and the small, joyful moments we often overlook.

I believe that by exploring the natural world, the simple joys in life, and the emotions we experience, we can be inspired to live more authentically. Through Elysrin and Wispelkin’s journeys, I hope to inspire self-compassion and a reminder that kindness, not only to others but to ourselves, can be the most powerful magic of all. Whether it’s a little gingerbread or a glowing star, these tales are meant to remind us that love, simplicity, and connection are the things that really make us happy.

If you’re looking for stories that make you pause and reflect on the deeper truths of life, that encourage you to cherish the simple things, and that inspire you to be kinder to yourself and others — you’re in the right place. And there’s more to come! I have three more stories in the works, each exploring different aspects of life, love, and the wonder that surrounds us.

These tales aim to offer more than just entertainment — they hope to spark something in you, to remind you of the little joys in life that often go unnoticed, and to encourage a kinder, more thoughtful way of being. Stay tuned, and let’s continue this journey of magic together.
